Of course you should start playing golf. We offer all kinds of opportunities to get started, and we are happy to help you based on your circumstances. On this page, we tell you about our courses, how you can practice on your own and how to get a membership and green card.

Our instructors teach and coach golfers of all ages, from beginners to experienced players. We offer private lessons, group lessons, on-course instruction, courses, golf schools, trips, and much more. We have a total of five PGA Golf Professionals who are passionate about helping you improve your game, all year round.

Want to try playing some golf yourself first?

There are also many opportunities for those who first want to test a little themselves first. We have a large driving range where you can try hitting out from mats. Next to the clubhouse there are also several putting greens. If you want to play a round, you can book time on our short-hole course The Multi-Sport Course Course - you can play without a Green Card or membership. As a member, you also have access to our large practice field, Slätten. There you can practice bunker shots, putting and short game with your own balls. Clubs and balls can be borrowed / rented in Öijared Golf Shop.

Green card required for play

Regardless of which course you choose, a lot of training is required in addition to the course sessions, in order to become a golfer and take the so-called Green Card.

To obtain a Green Card, you need to pass a theoretical part and a practical part, and be an active member of a golf club. It is the club you are a member of that activates your green card. However, you do not need to be a member of a club to take a beginner's course or start with your theory part. At Öijared, there is a mandatory theory course of 3 hours that everyone from 13 years and up must complete in order to obtain a Green Card with us. You can find alternative dates HERE.

At Öijared Resort, we follow the Swedish Golf Association's recommendations regarding the Green Card, and depending on age, there are different tests to be done regarding theory and practice.

Golf lessons and courses for beginners

At Öijared Resort, we offer beginner courses for children, teenagers, and adults. We hold courses in both the spring and fall, and we also offer intensive courses.
