Theory and game tests

To get a green card, you need to demonstrate both theoretical and practical skills. You do this through our theory and game tests.

Theory test

In the theory test, you must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of golf, golf etiquette and rules. To access the preparatory training and theory test, you need a golf ID. You can get one either from the club when you become a member, or by registering for one yourself, free of charge, via this link.

Children up to 12 years

The theory test with child-friendly questions is done digitally via login with golf ID in My Golf. The test consists of 15 questions about the game of golf and 15 questions on the floor. To pass, you must get at least 12 right on each part. 

Adults and children from 13 years - 

The theory test is done digitally via login with golf ID in My Golf. The test consists of 25 questions about the game of golf and 25 questions on golf etiquette. To pass, you must get at least 20 right on each part.

To take a green card at Öijared, you who are 13 years and older, need to take a theory course of 3 hours, free of charge, which is offered about 2 times a month. You register via the link here and need a golf ID also here.

Game trials

In the playing test, you must be able to demonstrate a playing standard equivalent to handicap 54.

Children under 12 years

Play tests are conducted on The Multi-Sport Course from the 30, 50 and 100 tees. Play 9 holes of 45 strokes or less from each tee. Score is filled in hole by hole.

Children up to the age of 12 can now also take their test by playing nine holes from the 150-meter mark (and front tee on par 3) and scoring 18 points or better.
Marker needs to have Golf ID and Green Card (Hcp 54.0 or lower).

For adults and children aged 13 and over 

The playtest takes place over a 9-hole round, from a sloping tee. The score is given hole by hole. The score is converted to points. The player needs to have 18 points or better over 9 holes. The result is based on the player playing on the slope that players receive for HCP 54.0.
Registration needs to be done on a course that is closed. (Park, New or Old)
Player needs to have an active Golf ID and Green Card (Hcp 54.0 or lower).

When a player at Öijared, regardless of age, passes their game test, they should take a photo of their signed scorecard, with golf ID and marker on the card, and email it to: golf@oijared.se

To activate the Green Card, you must be a member of a golf club.
