The Old Course

The Old Course is our most modern, oldest and most challenging course with a high class finish. Completed in 1965, the 18-hole course was reopened in 2008 with a brand new and exciting design by Pierre Fulke.

Just over a year after the decision to build the course course, the first 9-hole course opened in May 1960. The course had been designed by Douglas Brasier, in his day a sought-after course architect and established instructor. The first sketches were drawn on brown wrapping paper. On September 18, 1965, a completed 18-hole course was inaugurated.

In 2006, Pierre Fulke redesigned the course, with a new layout and extensive changes to the greens, bunkers and fairways. The reopening of the course took place in 2008 in connection with the club's 50th anniversary.

The course has a challenging layout with a good finish and is one of West Sweden's most challenging courses. On each tee you get a nice presentation of the hole and the greens are single cut and rolled to maintain the highest quality. The Old Course has many challenges where the most prominent are the undulating green areas, the strategically placed bunkers and the challenge of keeping the ball away from the highest rough.
