Rules for Men's Wednesday Golf
The Wednesday golf is open to all men who have turned, or will turn 18 this year. Non-members of Öijared may also participate in Wednesday Golf, however, only members of Öijared may play the final which is played on September 21. The game takes place with any partner and start time (VPS). No reserved times. Remember to book well in advance.
The competitions are played throughout the season.
Competition hcpis required, which means at least 4 registered hcp rounds in 2024 or 2025.
Scorecards are handed in to the Wednesday Golf mailbox by 22:00.
Registration and payment
Registration and payment, SEK 100, is made via my Golf.
Classes:
Class 1: +8.0 - 14.4
Class 2: 14.5 - 36.0
You compete in the class for which you have a high score at each event. The top 18 in each class during the season qualify for the final. Should you collect points in both classes during the season and miss the final due to a change of class, we will hand out wildcards in those cases. Even in the final you play in the class you have hcp for at that time.

This applies regardless of how many participants start.
Everyone who participates, with a good result, in a single Wednesday competition receives 1 participation point.
The Order of Merit is updated throughout the season. You can find the current status on My Golf.
Final game
To be eligible for the final, you must have participated in at least four Wednesday golf sessions and be a member of Öijared GK.
The top 18 on the Order of Merit and players with equal results in each class go to the final.
The final is on September 21. All finalists play 18 holes on The Old Course. Then we run a shootout for the top 10 in each class.
The Bear League - also open to women!
Björnligan's members are seniors with a maximum hcp 10.0 from Öijared GK. As good golfers, we set a good example for other members with regard to etiquette, rule knowledge and general behavior on the course, for example through fast play.
Björnligan is open to all seniors with hcp 10.0 or lower who are members of Öijared Golf Club.
2026
Söndagen den 26 april inleder vi traditionsenligt årets Björnligesäsong med Kickoff.
Samling kl 11.30 i klubbrummet för information om årets Björnliga samt lottning av bollar inför spelet som börjar 13.00.
Efter söndagens spel startar vi med ordinarie Björnliga som spelas varje måndag from 27:e april till och med måndagen den 31 augusti.
Därefter hålls årets stora final lördagen den 5 september.
Registration for each round is done in exactly the same way as for any competition, ie via golf.se.
Good things to know:
* We play individual stroke play net from yellow tee/ 58 tee regardless of gender. Red tee/tee 50 a couple of times in August. White tee/tee 61 in the KM week.
* The entry fee must be paid when you register for the competition no later than 21:00 on Sunday, i.e. the night before to be able to participate in Monday's competition. When registering, you can request an early or late start. The competition will be drawn by lot and the start times will be published no later than 12:00 on the day of the competition.
* Start times that we go out on all Mondays are 16.00 - 17.10. It is not allowed for participants in the Bear League to go out before and after these times at each current competition.
* We will have 3 monthly finals that will be played on the last Monday in May, June and July . A nice way to meet for a while after for prize giving and some general chat. There will be separate prizes for these 3 competitions.
* Order-of-merit is counted over the season with the 10 best results during this year's Bear Leagues for each individual.
* Finalen spelas med hcp lördagen den 5 september över 36 hål på Gamla banan för de som spelat minst 6 deltävlingar och anmält sig till finalen. 18 hål från tee 58 och 18 hål från tee 50.
Vi hoppas i vanlig ordning att alla kommer göra sitt yttersta för att värva nya ”Björnar” 2026 och att vi tillsammans kommer skapa något mycket trevligt!
