Dahl Sweden creates business with golf at Öijared

For Dahl Sweden, the corporate golf at Öijared Resort has become a recurring success. - "The golf itself is not the important thing, it's the relationships we build and the memories we create," says Joakim Björkman, sales representative.

Dahl Sweden prioritizes good customer relations and strong business networks. Every quarter they organize various networking events for their customers and partners, and in May this year it was once again time for the appreciated event of previous years - company golf at the scenic Öijared Resort in Floda. Among the organizers were sales manager Anders Mattisson and sales representative Joakim Björkman from Dahl.

- There really is something special about Öijared. The whole concept is so well thought out. The nature, the tranquility and the fantastic service make it a perfect place for our corporate events," says Joakim.

Everyone welcome, golfers and non-golfers alike

The morning sun shone over the green as around 80 excited participants arrived early on Friday 17 May for a full day of networking and golf at Öijared. The annual event, called "Golfers and non-golfers", is organized annually by Dahl Sweden for its customers and partners. Among the invitees this year were mainly HVAC installers and professionals from the construction sector. Some experienced golfers, others beginners.

- You don't have to be a golf enthusiast to participate in the company golf. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Sure, it's an advantage if you're interested in the sport, but the most important thing is to have fun and network," says Anders Mattisson.

Smooth progress from start to finish

With a breakfast sandwich and a cup of freshly brewed coffee in hand, the participants were dismissed and given a moment to warm up on the driving range. To ensure that the teams were as smooth and even as possible, Lars Brydolf, Golf Manager and Club Manager at Öijared, organized the players and took careful account of the participants' varying levels of golfing experience. By bringing together experienced golfers with beginners in each group, it was both fun and educational for everyone.

- Before an event like this, there is always a lot to organize and many details that need to be in place, but thanks to the solid help from Lars Brydolf and other staff at Öijared, everything went incredibly smoothly from start to finish, says Joakim.

An oasis for business relationships

After a brief review of the day's schedule, the participants took to the course to play a shotgun round, where everyone starts at the same time on different holes. During the following hours, happy laughter spread across the golf course.

Joakim explains:

- When you spend four to five hours together on the golf course, you really get to know each other. It's amazing to see how the community grows. It's much easier to build relationships and create good business opportunities that way.

The perfect end to the day

The round of golf was followed by the prize-giving ceremony, and then the participants were treated to a delicious barbecue buffet. Some also took the opportunity to relax in Öijared Bad and sauna, for a perfect end to the day.

Reactions from participants have been consistently positive, and many hope for a repeat next year. Joakim, Anders and their colleagues at Dahl Sweden are already preparing for the next event they organize at Öijared. In September, it's time for the annual Dahlgolf - a competition for experienced golfers only.

- Being at Öijared is always a positive experience. The relaxed atmosphere and great service create a wonderful environment for networking and relaxation. And somehow the sun always shines here, Joakim adds with a smile.
