Our restaurant

Just like at home, the kitchen is the heart of Öijared Resort. A place for everyday life and celebrations. The restaurant offers everything from everyday lunches to luxurious barbecue buffets, hotel breakfasts and wedding dinners. Our chefs compose the menus with inspiration and ingredients from local produce and the four seasons of the Nordic region - with food enjoyment and atmosphere in focus.

Öijared Bath and Sauna

Enjoy different types of saunas such as dry, aroma and steam saunas. Indoors there is our classic swimming pool, outdoors the outdoor hot spring. Of course, we also have an ice shower.

Through heat, cold and pleasure, you get a wonderful experience for both body and soul. Our bath ritual comes from organic Maria Åkerberg whose products are also available for purchase at our reception.

With something good to eat and drink, the experience is even more enjoyable. Perhaps you're in the mood for a drink after the sauna or while enjoying the hot spring?

In Öijared bad och Bastu you will find the current menu and you can easily order through our staff.

Our hotel rooms

Our hotel has 34 thoughtfully designed rooms with up to 6 beds in each room.

The hotel rooms are divided into separate sections, like a small apartment with 2-3 sleeping sections, living room with sofa and TV, toilet and separate shower. Perfect for a girls' hangout before dinner!

Some of our rooms also have a balcony, we call these deluxe rooms. They are slightly more spacious and our largest room is our suite.

In total, we have room for 200 overnight guests in the hotel and we welcome both two and four-legged guests.

Our unique architecture

In 1988, Öijared's clubhouse & Gert Wingårdh were awarded Sweden's finest architecture prize, the Kasper Salin Prize. A surprising choice for a then unknown architect.

Gert Wingårdh had designed a buried building with the ground as its roof - a building structure designed in strong symbiosis with the local nature. As much landscape as building. Even by international standards, Gert Wingårdh was an early adopter.

Based on the clubhouse, the architect Johan Brandström at Kjellgren Kaminsky has designed our hotel, also called the pavilion. The hotel was completed in spring 2014.

Gert Wingårdh's clubhouse is "a room under a hill" where the horizontal limestone reinforces the feeling of being underground. The hotel, in turn, is a light structure that "floats" on top of the hill where the vertical and roughly sawn facade planks, like the trees, filter the house against the sky and make it blend into the forest edge. An advanced triangular system underpins both the clubhouse and the hotel. This allows for five unique views.
